This item is a vintage American Beauty brand clothing iron manufactured in 1947. The handle is bakelite and red, and is free of chips, or any major scratches. The iron works, and gets plenty hot. (trust me, I tested it, and probably have a picture of a blister to prove it). It needs some cleaning up, as I am no expert in this subject and didn't want to adulterate anything, so I'll leave it to the buyer.
The cord is cloth with a dial plug. The rubber where the cord meets the iron is torn but does not hinder it's function. Any further questions please don't hesitate to send an email. Thanks for looking!
